I get my lunch at Whole hearted often! (Ok most days!) The food is amazing! Which is the obvious reason to keep going back!!! Along side the fab food the people are great. Love both Ruth and Joe! They also have an eco ethos and have biodegradable boxes for the potato takeaway. Lastly, I do slimming world and count syns Ruth and Joe can tell you what is in each salad and you can gauge the syns! Home made local service is hard to beat in Stonehouse. Thank you for my lunch!
A rare treat, a proper home-made pasty.There's not many places left in the world where you can get a truly home made pasty and this one is worth driving to.Actual flaky pastry, not that awful rubbery stuff you get on a Ginsters, which as far as I'm concerned is more like foam mattress filler. The filling is discernibly meat, potato, swede and onion, none of that minced grey meat slurry or cheese and onion nonsense. Thank you very much Whole Hearted, you are a glimmer of hope for those of us who relish real food.If I were to be hyper critical the pasty would be perfect if it had a few more minutes in the oven, so the crust had a wee bit more bite. Seasoning wise a bit more salt would make a difference too, but those are really minor points. Delicious!
Excellent range of fresh salads/baguette fillings. The quiches and pasties made on premises are a real treat. Jacket potatoes are a welcome lunch any day....Cheese with Broccoli/mushroom/cashew salad on side, delicious . Keep it up Ruth & Joe!!
